Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:32 a.m. on August 5, 2024, on US Highway 95 near milepost 343, just south of Moscow, Idaho. At approximately 7:32 a.m., an 18-year-old male from Lewiston, Idaho, was traveling northbound on US Highway 95 in a red 2001 Ford Ranger. A blue 2009 Honda CR-V, driven by a 20-year-old female from Caldwell, Idaho, was traveling southbound on US Highway 95. The driver of the Ford Ranger crossed left of center and collided head-on with the Honda CR-V; the Ford Ranger then caught fire. The driver of the Honda CR-V was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital; she was wearing her seatbelt. The driver of the Ford Ranger was not wearing his seatbelt and was transported via air ambulance to a local hospital. The highway was blocked for approximately 3.5 hours. The incident remains under investigation.
