Plug the USB-C cable into your Beats Pill, and plug the other end of the cable into <a href=a power source." width="900" height="480" />

Your Beats Pill can play for up to 24 hours with a full charge. 1 When you turn your Beats Pill on or off, the light flashes white if the battery is charged to at least 10 percent of its full capacity, or red if the battery is charged to less than 10 percent. Plug your Beats Pill into a power source using a USB-C cable.

Use your Beats Pill to charge your other devices

You can use the Charge Out feature on your Beats Pill to charge your other devices, such as your phone, your earphones, or your laptop.

To charge another device:

  1. Plug one end of the USB-C cable into your Beats Pill.
  2. Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into your other device.

If you want to use your device to charge your Beats Pill instead, press the power button on your Beats Pill three times.

Pair your Beats Pill

Pair your Beats Pill with an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch

  1. Make sure that your Beats Pill is charged.
  2. Press the power button on your Beats Pill to turn it on. The light next to the power button pulses to indicate that the Beats Pill is in discovery mode, ready to be paired. If it doesn't pulse, hold down the power button for 3 seconds to enter discovery mode.
  3. On your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, go to Settings > Bluetooth. Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
  4. Select your Beats Pill from the list of Bluetooth devices.

Pair your Beats Pill with an Android device:

  1. Make sure that your Beats Pill is charged.
  2. Press the power button on your Beats Pill to turn it on. The light next to the power button pulses to indicate that the Beats Pill is in discovery mode, ready to be paired. If it doesn't pulse, hold down the power button for 3 seconds to enter discovery mode.
  3. On your Android device, go to Bluetooth settings and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
  4. Select your Beats Pill from the list of Bluetooth devices.

  1. Make sure that your Beats Pill is charged.
  2. Press the power button on your Beats Pill to turn it on. The light next to the power button pulses to indicate that the Beats Pill is in discovery mode, ready to be paired. If it doesn't pulse, hold down the power button for 3 seconds to enter discovery mode.
  3. On your Mac device, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Bluetooth in the sidebar.
  4. Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
  5. Select your Beats Pill from the list of Bluetooth devices.

Listen with USB-C audio

You can connect your Beats Pill and another USB-C device, such as an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, with a USB-C to USB-C cable to listen to music, including lossless audio.

1. Testing conducted by Apple in April 2024 using preproduction Beats Pill units and software paired with iPhone 15 Pro units and prerelease software. The playlist consisted of 358 unique audio tracks purchased from the iTunes Store (256-Kbps AAC encoding). Volume was set to 50%. Testing consisted of full Beats Pill battery discharge while playing audio until Beats Pill stopped playback. Battery life depends on device settings, environment, usage, and many other factors.
